Time for another Kiva loan

Some of you may remember about this time last year when I made my first Kiva loan (thanks Sundeep). I proudly adopted Salman Ismailov, an Azerbaijani fetish shoe salesman.

Well, he’s all paid up and its time to reinvest. This time you can help me pick! Check out the bios and vote below.

Maria Patrocinio Quintero Romero
Note: the picture is what put her in the running. Love it

Maria is married. Her husband works in a mine and they have two children who are 12 and eight years of age and who both study. She decided to start a business in order to help her husband with the family’s expenses and to have a productive activity. She began in 2005 when a friend commented that the sale of catalog lingerie was a good business.

She is requesting a loan of US $400, which she will repay in 6 months, in order to purchase merchandise and fulfill the orders that she has. With your help, she will be able to get ahead.

OR

Mehida
Note: propane filled balloons and cosmetics? Sounds good to me!

Each day Mehida’s wish is to improve her economic situation, so she decided to do two things: firstly to sell propane filled balloons, and secondly to sell cosmetics. Mehida started doing these two things 6 years ago and her dream is to be able to improve the infraestructure of her house so that she can open up an adecuate area to sell her indespensible products from, as many housewives from the local area buy them from her.
